Introducing HealthQuotes

Established in 1981, HealthQuotes.ca is a nationally licensed insurance brokerage and trusted partner of some of the largest insurance companies in Canada including Manulife, Sun Life, and Blue Cross. In 2004, they developed the first online health insurance quoting engine in all of Canada. HealthQuotes provides insurance quotes ranging from standard individual and group health insurance to life insurance, travel insurance, disability insurance, and more.

Challenge

Starting from the website’s initial launch in 1999, HealthQuotes spent decades growing their presence in the digital space. By the late 2010s, they had built themselves a highly trusted website, consistently garnering more than 100,000 visitors every year. 

However, HealthQuotes’ site began to have a steep decline in visitors as a result of serious functional issues causing viruses. As a result of the website’s poor health, Google frequently penalized the site, causing a significant drop in their search engine ranking. The website’s poor health broke down HealthQuotes’ steady lead flow as clients depended on their reliability and transparency to compare quotes across carriers. These were complex issues that spanned across their site and were not easy for their team to identify or eliminate.
